Su madre ha muerto. Su padre est\u00e1 siempre lejos. La ni\u00f1a se ocupa de su hermano peque\u00f1o. Una madrastra pasa por su vida, y ese breve paso quedar\u00e1 marcado por la violencia del padre. Los ni\u00f1os se quedan definitivamente solos, bajo la mirada compasiva pero ciega de sus vecinos, como s\u00edmbolo de una sociedad rota. La ni\u00f1a, poco a poco, va reproduciendo con su hermano menor la relaci\u00f3n de violencia vivida con su padre.<\/p>\n<p>\tTodo ello transcurre en el marco de la sociedad coreana, dotada de todos los adelantos modernos, pero pesadamente lastrada por la tradici\u00f3n.
